In FSWL we think we have to make use of the skills and qualifications being used! we have started empowerment through funding small projects in Syria and Lebanon.
Knitting1!
We started new empowerment project, where one of the refugees is netting to make clothes for refugees inside the camp, in that way we will distribute winter clothes together with providing job opportunities. here is the lovely children wearing their new handmade pretty clothes!

Baking! we have started small project for four women in order to help them becoming self sufficient through buying materials they need to bake! the overall cost is $150 price of the following:
$30 price of 10 cartoons of eggs. $15 vanilla bags.
$15 powder. $35 price of 20Kg of sugar.
$10 gas bottle. $30 price of 25 Kg of flour.
$10 cartoon plates. $5 transportation.
Popup Shop! we are working on now, is popup shops in Lebanon to generate money that we can use to support people living in refugee camps in Bekaa Valley. we have started the first shop at 4th of March with capital of 1000$, the second shop we started in 4th of May with capital of 300$ then we added 500$ to have overall capital of 800$.
Chicken house! we are working on is a Chicken house project:
We bought 50 hens and 10 cockerels and let the beneficiary raise them and sell their eggs. In this way he can be self-sufficient. This project is in collaboration with Takaful al-sham, a registered NGO in Lebanon, Syria and Turkey. The name ‘takaful’ means solidarity in Arabic.
Clothes manufacturing! currently undergoing is, a clothes manufacturing where:
- It provides job opportunities for people in need.
- production will be sold to NGOs so it can be distributed to other people in need.
- Profit will be reinvested into the project again to provide more job opportunities.
The project’s costs $1375 spent as follow:
900$ 1000 yards of suing material 22$ Machines maintenance
9.75$ Electric Generator maintenance 428$ 4 tanks of fuel
15$ tails
